Now you have two options to choose that are Typical (for beginners) and Custom (for advanced users) select one and [ress next button. Here I selected the custom option you can also proceed with this and follow every step carefully.

Now the time for choosing virtual machine hardware compatibility (check the below image):

select virtual machine hardware compatibility from the list

Select the compatibility option from the dropdown list which shows older versions of the VMware. For example, if you are using the latest version workstation it shows older versions workstations also, this is very useful for lower configured PCs and Laptops. After this, you have to select the operating system installation type.

Now you will get options to choose hardware like the processor and its cores. here, you can select the number of processors and the number of cores for a single processor.
We recommend a Minimum 2 number of processors and 2 number of cores for processors for Windows 10 OS.
Adjust the memory size of the Virtual Machine 1GB to 64GB
Now the time to specify RAM size, here you can adjust the memory size of the Virtual Machine up to 1GB to 64GB. we recommend ensuring at least a minimum of 4 GB of RAM for Windows 10. Next, you will network connection options.

We recommend you have to ensure at least 20+ harddisk space for windows 10 and untick the allocate all disk space now and select store virtual disk as a single file.
Specify disk file for your Virtual machine
Now you need to specify the path to where would you like to store the disk file by selecting the browse option, after selecting the path to save the disk file you need to select the next button to proceed to the final step to creating a virtual machine.
